Abstract:
This edition, entitled “Careers and Mobility of Doctorate Holders in Greece - Edition 2015”, highlights one significant element of R&D human capital in Greece – the doctorate holders. It presents data collected by EKT in the framework of the ‘International Survey on Careers of Doctorate Holders – CDH’, led by OECD. The first chapter presents data on the profile of doctorate holders (age, countries awarding their degrees, scientific field and sources of funding for studies). The second chapter analyses the employment status of doctorate holders (employed / unemployed / inactive), with regard to gender, scientific field, year of graduation, employment sectors, occupation and research activity. The third chapter lists data on professional and international mobility of doctorate holders, the countries and reasons for mobility, as well as intended mobility in 2015. The fourth chapter includes the main methodological notes.
